Visit From Germany

Oma Rita and Finley
Few weeks ago Finley's Oma (Grandma in German), my mother, came to visit from Germany together with two friends, Aunt Evelyn and Jennifer.
It was a great bonding time with trips to Atlanta, Columbus, Callaway Gardens, cooking and Movie nights. Man how I have missed my mother's cooking :)

Oma Rita was filled with Joy to see her apo (Grandchild in Filipino) and Finley loved the attention all three lovely ladies gave him.
He especially received a nice dose of exclusively German talking which I really liked since I wish for him to learn my language.

David and I were happy to take all three of our German visitors to see IHOP (International House of Prayers) in Atlanta and found out that it was one of the ladies first time visiting such kind of church. Which I can relate to since in Germany the main curches are Catholic and Evangelists. There are not many other kind of churches you can go to. It was my first time seeing a church like IHOP myself when I came to the USA.

We were happy to be the first to introduce her to it :)
We also liked showing showing them around Atlanta City and Columbus, GA.

We also visit Callaway Gardens Resort and enjoyed Nature.

Unfortunately all three had caught a little cold just before they came to us and therefore were hesitant holding Finley a lot even though they had loved to. Next time when they are all well they can hold Finley as much as they love to.
All in all it was a fun time :)
Next time we hope to be visitors in Germany when Fynn is a little older and he can practise his German with Oma Rita :)
